Natural bond orbital analysis for these title molecules shows strong delocalization of lone pair electrons from N, S, and O to the chemical bonds associated with central thiazolidinonering. The infrared intensites are calculated to compare with the FT-IR observation reported by Mushtaque et al. The experimental UV-Vis spectrum of present derivatives have been recorded and compared with calculated time dependent density functional (TDDFT) approach. The qualitative measures of chemical activeness of molecules have been presented in terms molecular electrostatic potential (MEP).

Abstract: A new series of 6-substituted quinolin-2-one thiosemicarbazides 6a?j has been synthesized. The structure of the target compounds was proved by different spectroscopic and elemental analyses. All the designed final compounds were evaluated for their in vitro activity against the urease-producing R. mucilaginosa and Proteus mirabilis bacteria as fungal and bacterial pathogens, respectively. Moreover, all compounds were in vitro tested as potential urease inhibitors using the cup-plate diffusion method. Compounds 6a and 6b were the most active with (IC50 = 0.58 ± 0.15 and 0.43 ± 0.09 muM), respectively, in comparison with lead compound I (IC50 = 1.13 ± 0.00 muM). Also, the designed compounds were docked into urease proteins (ID: 3LA4 and ID: 4UBP) using Open Eye software to understand correctly about ligand?receptor interactions. The docking results revealed that the designed compounds can interact with the active site of the enzyme through multiple strong hydrogen bonds. Moreover, rapid overlay of chemical structures? analysis was described to understand the 3D QSAR of synthesized compounds as urease inhibitors. The results emphasize the importance of polar thiosemicarbazide directly linked to 6-substituted quinolone moieties as promising antimicrobial urease inhibitors. An efficient and single step strategy for synthesizing new functionalized benzo[b][1,8]naphthyridine derivatives is presented. Benzo[g][1,8]naphthyridines have been synthesized by the condensation of substituted 2-chloroquinoline-3-carbaldehydes with various 2-chloroquinoline-4-amines, 1H-Indazole-6-amine in basic medium. The electro luminescence and photophysical properties of a series of benzo[g][1,8]naphthyridines 5(a?d), 6(a?d) and 2-chloroquinoline-4-amines 3(a?f) are reported and investigated with the aim of arriving at good fluorescent materials. Moreover, the effect of electron donor-acceptor substituent on fluorescence properties of all molecules has been investigated along with their fluorescent quantum yields. Furthermore we analyzed for band gap energy associated with HOMO-LUMO, through density functional (DFT M06-HF) studies. The experimental observations are in close agreement with the theoretical calculation. All the synthesized compounds were identified on the basis of their NMR, Mass spectral data analyses.
